The Number of The Beast, because there's Bruce Dickinson in it Clap

Not James Hetfield Dead   (Orion is one of most awesome songs in the metal genre though.)

It's not a tough choice for me at all. I like The Number of the Beast very much, but Master of Puppets is better in so many ways!

my personal opinion is that I can not stand Iron Maiden, on this site or not, I've never liked this band's sound, I won't go into it mroe than that to avoid flaming

MoP is a classic, metal's CTTE, Dark Side, and TAAB all in one

Iron Maiden is way better than Metallica, although Metallica are (were) pretty good too. As far as the albums go, Number of The Beast is easily my favorite Maiden album, but of Metallica's 80's albums, Master of Puppets is my least favorite (my favorite would have to be Kill 'Em All).

I'm not sure how good Metallica is live anymore, but I just saw Iron Maiden last Tuesday and they were amazing.

I prefer Master ! Master !

With early Iron Maiden albums the choice is tougher

"MASTER!! MASTER!!"

Yeah, hell yeah, the crowd claims for Master Of Puppets, and me too. It's one my favorite albums of all time, and maybe the best thrash metal album ever. Ohhhhhh, that glory days!!

Thumbs%20Up

(on the other hand, Maiden have never clicked on me, despite I made de effort SO many times)

Just the title track itself makes it my choice. But if we add the fact that it contains their best instrumental song ever (maybe their best ever period), no doubt for me: Master of Puppets are pulling your strings, twisting your mind and smashing your dreams, blinded by me you can't see a thing.

Funny that this is titled "Really Tough Metal Choice", yet the choice doesn't appear to be so difficult.

I greatly prefer MoP, and the poll results suggest that most people have the same opinion.

I never understood all the fuss over NotB. I like some Maiden, but most of that album seems pretty mediocre to me, aside from the outstanding "Hallowed by thy Name".

MoP, easily.  Thrash metal is still trying to catch up to that album.

I'd rather it tried to catch up with Voivod instead. as it is, I'll vote for Number.

I'll go with Master Of Puppets, the last disc in which the late CLIFFORD LEE BURTON (one of the most incredible musicians out there) played, and his truely masterpiece!!!Thumbs%20Up Hear Orion and realize how this man was able to create beautiful music!!! After this disc, Metallica never did beautiful music again Unhappy

Note: I like more Iron Maiden than Metallica

Not realy hard, I'd say, it just follows a very simple and basic mathematical formula:

Anything done by Iron Maiden > Anything done by Metallica

Very tough indeed - I voted for Maiden, but in my mind it was really a tie, as both are among my favourite albums of all time.

The choice would have been much tougher if it was Powerslave instead of Number of the Beast.Smile

Master of Puppets- hugely influential and one of, if not the, greatest trash albums of all time.

Number of the Beast is good, but Powerslave is Maiden's best and most important album.

Hmm...Number of the Beast, but then again, I hate Metallica, so it wasn't exactly the most difficult decision.

Number... is one of my favorite albums, it was the first metal album I ever bought and I still love it to bits. Master is also great but not as great... Rust In Peace pwns it anyway

Two cornerstones of metal, yet Master of Puppets wins here.  One of the most influential thrash metal albums ever.
