Ok, I just bought Passion and Warfare by Steve Vai and thought it was excellent. I was wondering where to go from there. In addition, this thread can be a general discussion about Mr.Vai. The Steve Vai Anthology is a good album. Personally, I prefer Marty Friedman for some reason. |

I'd get "Fire Garden". The "Bankok" and "Fire Garden Suite" is brilliant (a tad Zappa-ish, like Envelopes from the Arriving to late.. -album) However, if you wanna mosh out totally you should check out "Sex and Religion" where Dev |

Before buying anothe Vai album try som Satriani first. He is much better than Steve vai. Listen to "Surfing with the alien" and you'll see!!! |
