Hi all,

We posted a message a few days ago to say that CD Baby were temporarily out of stock of the album One Day a New Horizon.  We shipped more copies to them so you could get hold of it from http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/protos1 - www.cdbaby.com/cd/protos1 .

Well, we shipped more copies and have now learnt that these have all been pre-ordered even before arriving at CD Baby!  This is just to reassure you another batch of CDs are on their way to the US and that it will be in stock again in about a 7-9 days.  You can leave your name/e-mail address on the order page if there is no stock available.  CD Baby will contact you the moment they come back into stock.

Best wishes
Rory

P.S.  Thanks to everyone who is taking such an interest - it's great!  We'll keep shipping CDs until demand is met.

Will the Collectors edition cd also be available through CD Baby or only via Ebay?

Thanks for the question.  At the moment we have no plans to sell the Collectors Edition anywhere other than eBay.  20% of the sale price goes to charity and CD Baby has no facilities to challenge part of the sale proceeds to charities of our choice.  We wish to raise as much as possible for charity through the Collectors Edition, and eBay seems to be the easiest and best way to do this.

The other thing that prevents us selling the Collectors Edition as a retail product is that each is burnt to the buyer's wishes.  As the buyer chooses 30 minutes of music to add to the standard album (45 minutes), we amend the back cover to list the tracks they've selected.  We also put the number (e.g.  Collectors Edition #20) on both the front cover and the CD label.  This makes each copy unique.  For us, it helps to track how many we have produced - and to make sure we have a person's name/address to give them information to access the on-line library (which contains more live tracks).  For the buyer/collector - we hope - it will increase the value in the secondhand marketplace in the future.

We won't produce them forever so they will become collectable (all the more so now CDs are becoming obsolete!).

Hope this helps.

Best wishes
Rory
