    Hello

A few days ago i had my ears on Indukti S.U.S.A.R. My thoughts were "sounds a lot like riverside". Later i though "vocals remind me of Mariusz Duda" only later i read that it was Mariusz Duda Anyway, which band do you prefer and why ? Is Indukti just a "Riverside wannabe" band (i myself dont think so) or are these bands sort of examples of lets say "Polish prog" ?

Sorry if im not being to fluent

Indukti all the way, although I only know SUSAR album by them, but it is far superior to anything ever done by Riverside IMO. This is one of the rare cases when prog-metal is really likeable for me. The only thing that is similar between the two is vocals by the same vocalist, and although I think that Indukti would be even better without any vocals, I prefer singing of Mariusz Duda in Indukti.
Indukti are original, fresh and intricate, as opposed to Riverside.

Riverside for me, Indukti is good too. But I prefer Riverside above Indukti; I like the style of Riverside more

Tough choice.I probably would choose INDUKTI if i was forced to pick one over the other.

Riverside, but especially their last album... the first one was too opeth-ish, too porcupine-tree-ish.

Indukti.

I cannot enjoy Riverside that much (particularly their debut), but I thoroughly enjoy S.U.S.A.R.

I agree completely with what Eugene said.

Indukti, they just appeal to me more.I can't wait to hear more from them.

And Duda isn't a member of Indukti, that was just a guest vocalist appearance.

I should have clarified: Opeth-ish if we compare it to Damnation... If you listen that album, is very very close to what Out of Myself sounds like... Off course I'm not talking about other Opeth releases... just about Damnation.

Erm... I love Damnation, but really dislike OOM, so I'm not sure how you can compare them.  I cannot hear much Damnation in OOM.  Maybe it's just me.

Riverside's debut is too neo-prog for me, whilst Damnation isn't in the least bit neo-prog.

Easily Indukti.

riverside has a cool atmosphere, but lacks melodic richness. On Riverside, I feel as if i am listening the same melodies over and over, with very little variations ...

Indukti. S.U.S.A.R is superior than any Riverside work.

I agree completely with what Eugene said too....

Hmmm.

On one hand, SUSAR is superior to any single Riverside album, but Riverside has released three decent albums. I'd like to hear more from Indukti but they get my vote anyway.

You can't say. Riverside has released three albums over Indukti's one. Both great bands, and Indukti has yet to show us what they will do next.

I could not have said it better myself! We must wait for some more Indukti works.

indukti for me. i own both (well the first two) riverside albums and they really just bore me. Duda's voice is very monotonous. He sometimes breaks from this and gets a decent range in even some screams (not half bad at  that  Clap) but i find myself dozing off. and its the same with the rest of the band. moments of power and promise, mostly a snoozfest.

Never heard Inductu and don't think I need it.
And didn't have enough patience to listen to the last Riverside album from start to finish.

Impossible to say. Wink

Frankly, I'm shocked and appalled by Mr Geck0's display of double standards....hmmph

I've gone for Riverside (2 solid albums, 1excellent), although I must listen to the Indukti more....

I've voted the third option; anyway the music of the two bands is quite different, Indukti's music is more experimental and daring than Riverside; the only thing these bands have in common is the vocalist LOLWink - as Mariusz Duda sings on both.

This is a thought one. I like both of these bands but I would have to go with Riverside. It has more originality than Indukti, but still there's a lot to expect from this band later on.
