This geo polls are the most amusing we have here, since each person has his/her own perception of how the World is divided and the comments posted related to this division are funny!

I think Bern had a good point. Some countries (like the U.S. and Canada) are rather vast. Bern is from Quebec, and someone from Vancouver is not exactly a neighbor. The problem is, that coup would be easily crushed, and no need to use the army for that, just a few zooguards here and there... what would the problem be trying to stop thousands of 65+ people? Specially when you live north of Miami (around Ft. Lauderdale like me), you really appreciate when, this time of year, you see non-white hair atop someone's head. I insist: where's my country or the more than 15 southamercian countries? where are all the african nations? all of oceania's islands? This poll is "politically incorrect. " I will denounce it to the ACLU, NAACP, and all other organizations... and to Bill o'Reilly, too. -------------

since Texas is the only state that can suceed from the Union, I heard they had a plan.
We would attack Mexico with their own illegal aliens and vacation in south Texas would then include Acapulco and Cancun. We would overcome New Mexico for hunting, fishing, bicycling and skiing. We would then conquer Louisiana so we would have good cajun seafood cooking. And lastly takeover Oklahoma for a toxic waste dump!

Maybe because we refuse to be placed in a sack, I know for many people we're a Banana Republic from the third world, but hey look at another poll when asked individually.
I haven't seen any member from many countries mentioned, but when asked individually, the results are different.
You must have noticed neither Cesar Inca or myself who have been recently here voted neither the other 8 Peruvian members who have sent me PM's.
It's just a bit of national pride from our part, but I believe we're entitled to it as

this is silly, guess what Chile, Argentina, and Brazil basically represent the southern half of South America, I think people from Uraguay know they are would be part of this category. why is it so bad to have "other south american"? should I have made the category Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and Bolvia would you feel better?
anyway, nuff said, it was not done to disgrace anyone only to try to show a territorial lay out of members. forgive if I offended anyone. my real interest was the Asian population and distribution and basically no one voted.

It started almost as a joke and then turned in some national pride I admit it.
But in Prog fans, Perú represents a lot, the biggest Latin American Prog community is La Lata, near 90% are Peruvians or Argentineans.

Colombia is not Peru, Ecuador is not Peru, Bolivia is not Colombia, Paraguay is not Argentina.... better to have three "main" parts (let's say: colombia, argentina, brazil and venezuela, well, 4 that is) than asking for ONE More... why not then every south american country, including the Guyana, Guayana and Surinam? -------------

No T, I believe all South America should be represented as a whole nation or individually being that there's no space. We are divided enough as a region between Pro Chavists and andi Chavists, Chile Perú and Ecuador still have difficut relations, Colombia and Venezuela also, Chile and Argentina idem. But as I said it started as a joke but some countries are constantly ignored, being Perú one of them. Iván-------------
