I'd like to propose the band "Room" as featured on the "Legends of a Mind" compilation (see http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=74104 - http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=74104 ). They are an obscure band who only made one album (Pre-Flight) in 1970 which featured use of an orchestra. This album is worth a fair bit of money now if you can find it.

(NB - even their own web site doesn't seem to be sure if they're called The Room or just Room, but the album cover just says "Room")

I heard this album a few years ago, actually. I'm quite surprised they aren't here but I'm not sure about the category they would fit into. They reminded me a bit of that other prog act from the same era Affinity, though I haven't heard as much of Affinity. But definitely worthy of inclusion.
