I love this song, figured this might be one place where I'm not thought crazy for liking this song. Friends all think I'm nuts.

Your friends are musically dumb.

So are mine! Sleepy

Though, if you stretch what they listen to everytime they are with you it's actually possible to make your collection, his as well. You just have to know what they're capable of liking first. I've converted many peoples.

Quite a lopsided poll, but it's good, that it's lopsided.

I voted No.  For some reason, I don't like that track at all and always wonder if Dark Side would have been the best album ever if that screeching wasn't on it.

Its a fantastic track, one of the best on the album.

A fantastic piece of music - one of my goose bumps moments, but that´s another thread - with an amazing vocal performance. Even more amazing when thinking how the singer Clare Torry felt the Floyd were bored and didn´t like her singing and was about to apologise coming out in the control room.
(from Toby Mannings book about PF - nice reading!)

My personal favorite on Darkside. I feel as if this is Wright's best work all in all.

Back in middle school, it was one of my favorites to sing along to in the halls. My performance got some great reactions... Maybe there's a reason I have the username I do...

I'm the only one with the "It's OK option right now." It is actually better than OK, but I felt that YES!!!!!!!!! was a little too enthusiastic. Stern%20Smile

Incredible vocals and gorgeous piano and steel guitar work.

CLARE TORRY's original sets the benchmark but I saw CAROL KENYON sing it live with ROGER WATERS in his DARKSIDE OF THE MOON tour last month in Sydney [Aust].Although she had some subtle echo-like effects on her voice , it was just bloody magnificent. Spine tingling stuff - a real goosebump moment . A wonderful example of soulful scat vocal over an irrestible piece of music.

Looking still the same after all these years...

I'm not keen on the studio version.Sounds very forced in a sort of 'if I wail a lot and do lots of up and down scales then it must be deep and meaningfull' way .However I do like Sam Browns 'orgasmic' version on Pulse.Embarrassed

It's OK. I used to really like it but I find it a bit embarrassing to listen to now. Probably overplayed it! I'd say it was my least favourite track on DSOTM.

I quite like it. It came on the radio one night when I was in a kind of semi-awake state. It was very pleasant. I voted "It's okay".
