HI FRIENDS, THIS IS CESAR INCA.

Peruvian prog-folk ensemble SUPAY will present their sophomore CD on May 25th. The original May 2nd date has been postponed. 25th is better since it is Friday.

May, 25 2007 at Centro Cultural España
     (presenting the new album)
Av. Petit Thouars, block 6, Lima, Lima
   8.00 PM
Cost : free, that is, no ticket price whatsoever

Apparanetly, the band has reformed quite quickly. Keyboardist Gustavo Valverde has returned to the fold, and so has the original bassist from the band's seminal years. Stilll, there's only one sole wind player, and Williams León is still trying to find a partner for the woodwind department. The last few concerts have been with him only on woodwind. Will they make it as a full sextet again?
WE'LL HAVE TO ATTEND AND SEE!!

Any further news will be posted here.

    Kind regards.

Today on "El Comercio", a prestigious Peruvian newspaper, a review of SUPAY's next album has been published!

"  INCAS DIABLOS

Notable.  "
The band's sophomore album is titled "El Viaje", just like their EP released as a limited edition in february '07. The cover is also identical (or almost).

Well, this positive review can really serve as an additional stimulation for all potential attendants at their May 25th concert.

    Kidn regards.

As I can see, their second album bears the same title as the EP they released earlier this year: "El Viaje". This is a subtle difference that will be properly indicated when the aforesaid album enters the Archives.

    Kind regards.

Everything's ready for the May 25th show.

Since Gustavo Valverde is definitely out of the line-up, Supay will recruit a support musician to handle the keyboard department.  Hopefully, the band will find a permanent keyboardsman soon.

Just a BIG HI!! to my friends Adrián Lazarte and José Mendoza (not a relative of mine), two friends whom I'll meet in the audience at Supay's concert tomorrow.

Great!, really great! Thumbs%20Up     Powerful performances, an emotional vibe that could almost be touched, a pleased audience, good visula stuff projected on the backwards screen while the band played... only the flaws in the audio console kept the show from being perfect, but the band's qualities fully showed. It's a pity that the show had to last only 65 minutes, and apparently, that was the deal with the management of the C.C. de España.

Review of the new album soon to be posted in the Archives.

   Kind regards.
