Hi everyone! :)
Sorry if this is considered spamming, but as a self-release that we've worked so, so hard on, we're really trying to spread the word about this CD. And you guys have always been so incredibly supportive of us, so I hope you don't mind too much! Anyway, here goes nothing!

At long last, Sixty Metonymies is here! Performed by Toby Driver (electric guitar, vocals) and (gulp!) me (Mia Matsumiya) (acoustic violin) of avant-garde rock group Kayo Dot and accompanied by Tim Byrnes (trumpet) and Andrew Greenwald (percussion) of Friendly Bears under the moniker Tartar Lamb (www.myspace.com/tartarlamb), this full-length CD package features the title piece, a modern electroacoustic quartet exquisitely recorded by Randall Dunn (Sunn0))), Earth, Boris, Burning Witch, etc) and beautiful hand-painted artwork by Toby printed in a high-quality parchment insert and contained in a classy fiberboard jacket. Twenty-one hard months in the making (including a broken down van in the middle of Freezing Snowstorm Nowhere, Wisconsin!) and 100% self-financed, we went through great personal strife just to bring you this delicious CD! We're selling it for $12 plus shipping (see shipping costs below). If you'd like, you can buy a copy by sending payment to us at our Paypal address, [email protected].

Shipping info, etc:
For shipping of the Tartar Lamb CD, please add:
$3 domestic (USA)
$4 for Canada and Mexico
$7 for overseas air-mail

If you'd like to buy more than one CD, including Kayo Dot CDs or otherwise, please e-mail us first at [helpkayodot (at) gmail (dot) com] to find out how much shipping will cost, and include your quantity and name of the other items in the PayPal comments field. Thank you so much and hope you enjoy this release! :)

xo

thanks! i think toby definitely did a really great job on the design. :)

by the way, i'm not sure if i'd exactly classify this release under prog (it's definitely not rock), but then again, the genre is pretty difficult to define anyway!

Looks great, Mia, listened over the tracks... took an instant liking to the second one. The Fieldman influences were interesting [in a good way], not a direction I was expecting. It is always nice to be surprised .

Oooh, something else to add to my wishlist.  Thanks for the heads-up, Mia!  Which reminds me, I must invest in some Kayo Dot, as I've never heard any!

Well I have some Maudlin of the Well, so I'm sure I'll also enjoy Kayo Dot!  Thanks Mia.  I think I may order some CDs soon.

It's a pleasure seeing you here too.  Keep up the good work. Thumbs%20Up
