Woohoo! In a way I'm glad to see Renaissance's Scheherazade & Other Stories finally get into the top 100. It's my favorite album of the '70s. Smile

Nice. It's a fantastic album, in my top 10. In my opinion it perfects their already amazing sound and never has a weak moment.

I was never fond of Trip To The Fair... but the rest is top notch 100% grade A prog.

Ocean Gypsy is one of the best songs ever written. The album deserves to be in the top 10 just for that one song!

It's a pretty good album, but I agree that Trip to the Fair isn't the best... and I'm not a big fan of Haslam's voice, it can get fairly nasal at times and she (gasp) sings out of tune once or twice in Song of Scheherazade.

But its a good album and my fav by them

Listen to Song of Scheherazade, and don't cry or feel the urge to cry at least once.

I dare you.

I haven't ever felt the urge to cry while listening; now where's my money?

Excellent album, but not as good as 'Ashes are Buring' imo.

It's my favorite Renaissance album. Superb, charming, masterliness.

I still stay with Live at Carnegie Hall, their best album IMHO, but still Sheherezade is a top 20 or 30 album.

While it is a hugely ambitious album with some superb musicianship and should be applauded for that, this has never quite been my favourite Renaissance album. I personally prefer the more accessible 'Ashes Are Burning' and 'Turn Of The Cards', though I still like 'Scheherazade', yeah.

That's what I wanted to say as well.
