Hi Everybody,

We all have our dreams. One of mine is the following “Prog Dream”:

There will be an order of God that all the break up bands must make a Farewell Concert with the best possible line up (of course sometimes it will be impossible, some died musicians will not be a part of it...). Following the example of the great no Prog band – Cream.

Ok, it will be a crazy dream, but my imagination is a little bit crazy too!

But it could be true, eh ? Because a lot of our favourite musicians of our favourite bands are close to the 60 years old (or more...), then it will be our last chance to see them together – a wonderful farewell to us, the Fans! (c’mon I’m not be morbid, it’s just a joke...)

So if you don’t think it’s a loss of time, which bands would you like to see in this Fareweels Concets (of course we will see everything in DVDs and CDs, mainly here in Brazil...) ?

My list:

(No problem if the bands shows other musicians to complete the cast...)

PINK FLOYD – Gilmour, Waters, Wright & Mason

GENESIS – Gabriel, Hackett, Banks, Rutherford & Collins (with your mouth shut...)

RENAISSANCE – Haslam, Tout, Camp, Dunford, Sullivan

MARILLION - Fish, Rothery, Trewavas, Kelly & Mosley

KING CRIMSON – Fripp, Lake, McDonald, Giles (if he’s not alive, with Bruford)

And the NO PROGS:

SUPERTRAMP – Hodgson, Davies, Helliwell, Thomson, Siebenberg

THE BYRDS – McGuinn, Crosby, Hillman (sadly without Gene Clarke)

So, any more suggestions ? Remember it’s just a crazy dream...

Best Greetings...

The Camel line up sounds good to me, and...

Genesis - Banks/Collins/Gabriel/Hackett/Rutherford

Hawkwind - Brock/Langton/Davey/Bainbridge/Baker

Motorhead - Kilmister/Clarke/Taylor

Marillion - WITH FISH!!

No question: Gentle Giant.  I'd pay huge money to see them again...

Peace.

I would go anywhere on the planet to see them unfortunately if you visit the official GG web-site every now and then ( like I do) in the false hope that a reunion will take place it just ain`t gonna happen. Anyway, Phil must be well into his seventies by now.

SYD BARRETT would make a cameo appearance and play 'Astronomy Domine', 'Bike' and then the band would play 'Shine On (parts 1-5)' as the crowd applauded

This really MUST be a dream!

Isn't Bruford playing with YES?!? No matter, he's now pulling double duty!

At the moment Alan White is playing with Yes. A few years back they toured with both Bruford and White.

Hi Guys,

I love Syd Barret work, and I know he is very important to Floyd. But I think to put him in a show today will be a nightmare, with all respect...

This is true. He doesn't even acknowledge fans who come up to him in Cambridge. That whole time to him was his darkest hour, and I've read that he wishes to forget about it.

Yes that would be a damn incredible spectacle. I would pay top dollar just to see Yes and KC play together. You could get a big jam off of Close to the Edge or 21st Century Schizoid Man.
