I remember a few years ago, a mate and I wondered how many 'rock' bands we knew, who had penned a track with the title 'Hold On'. Counting them up, we got to quite a few......
Here is my list of 'Hold On' tracks I remember from the past...in chronological order....I'm sure I've missed quite a few out...
 Deep Purple: Stormbringer (1974)
Steve Winwood: Steve Winwood (1977)
Triumph: Just A Game (1979)
Kansas: Audiovisions (1980)
Santana: Shango (1982)
Yes: 90125 (1983)
Barclay James Harvest: Victim Of Circumstance: (1984)
Wilson Phillips: (1990)
and er, Jackson Browne: Hold Out (1980).... (ok it's called Hold On (Hold Out), but I used to love it, and its my game, so it stays included.....
 )OK, so how many more can you add?? There are THREE rules...
1) The song has to be simply called 'Hold On' so ELO's 'Hold On Tight' is ruled out...
2) A case can be made out for it being either Rock or Metal, albeit loosely.
3) It has to be a song you know/ remember personally (if you own it, all the better!)... no googling or yahooing for lists!
I shall be most interested in your responses.....

How about 'Hold On (To Your Love)' by UK AOR band Shy? Seeing as you included a Jackson Browne one with parenthesis and all... There's an album by Trapeze called 'Hold On', which also has a track called, you guessed it, 'Hold On'. It has Pete Goalby later of Uriah Heep, but is a fairly flat AOR album, IMHO...far removed from the Glenn Hughes era work. |

Crack the Sky do a song called Hold On. It was the first track on their debut album,which Rolling Stone voted Debut Album of the Year.
