actuallt Das Futura would fit the mood. Also the song Ork Alarm on their album Kohntarkosz is pretty dark.

Dude, just play some Alice Cooper.  Welcome to my Nightmare, Unfinished Sweet, Dead Babies, I Love the Dead, Sick Things.  Just make sure there are no children or elderly aroundLOLWink

edit: I see you already have some AC in your list.  Actually that's a very solid list you have there...Sabbath, Zevon, Donovan - these ones you're guaranteed to hear on the radio on 10/31.  If you're up to something less "rock" then I would recommend three groups from the 1968-1971 period: Jacula (ITA), Black Widow (ENGL), and Dr. Z (ENGL), perfect if you have them, maybe difficult to track down though.

Bass Communion's http://www.soleilmoon.com/store/searchresults.lasso - LOSS album is quite scary...it's pretty much ambient, but it's about the dead communicating with the living through technology. It makes for a really creepy (yet strangely relaxing) night listening. It's only 16.99 from the link, but 29 from amazon.

Nosferatu by BOC; in fact, their catalog is replete with many a ghost or monster story.
Home by the Sea is a haunted house story, and a damn fine song too.
Hello, Hello by Caravan is a ghost story.  I'll probably think of some more as the evening wears on and the beers flow.  Stay tuned to this channel.

It will probably overwhelm your tape but Steve Roach's Darkest Before Dawn is one hour thirteen minutes and fifty eight seconds of halloweenesque ambient darkness.  Death metal wishes it could be this bleak.

For something shorter that hasn't been mentioned ELP's Toccata.
