This excellent new band befriended me on MySpace, and I was surprised by the good stuff they have to offer.

They have released an EP but as the label is mentioned as "None", I suppose it's a demo. They say they have an album to come out sometime soon, my guess is that they'll make a fine addition to our site.

Check them out!  http://%20%20www.myspace.com/sonarmusic%20%20 - http://www.myspace.com/sonarmusic - http://www.myspace.com/sonarmusic Smile

The idea of the Sonar became reality in a short series of tentative rehearsals two years ago. The computer-based pulsing of electronic musical schemes had soon been fused with a live, electro-acoustic musical background. The band made its first record after the sixth month of its birth. This first record let the group start its way off in becoming a real stage performance. VJ Lab became their partner in forming the visual appearance of the gigs. Special effects got a significant role in shaping what now the Sonar is on stage. VJ Lab boosted the innovative electric sound of the Sonar with vibrating visual effects. The band recorded its first EP, Deltroid, in 2006. This material drew up the outlines of what the future Sonar had soon become. However, the first LP, expected to be released in 2007, will fully capture the authentic sound and essence of the Sonar.

Not clear whether or not they are signed. Also definitely not exactly  my type of music (too many noises), but maybe someone can do a review of some of the tracks here? Andu - you perhaps?

That would be great, Chamberry Thumbs%20Up

@Andu: Known problem - trying to do 4 unsigned bands, 3 times a week - and I also have a backlog of 20 halfwritten reviews and 6 albums I want to review but haven't started on yet. And some E&O work in between...

Sorry for the huge delay...

After listening to the samples I'm positive that they deserve a place here in PA. I like their sound and the delicate post-rock guitar touches are a plus for me. Thumbs%20Up

Christmas has passed. The band is in the studio right now, and promised to send me a bio, pictures and whatever else I need to do the inclusion - but only after they've finished the bulk of their (full-time) studio work.
