http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3088 - KAMMERFLIMMER KOLLEKTIEF

I have their album http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=16038 - Hysteria  which I probably listened to at wrong times since I wasn't too thrilled about it, though it did contain some of the stuff I usually like, but:
- Need to relisten
- This particular album isn't to my taste
- This band isn't to my taste

So, based on that (and that as my friends know that I am open to anything and like even the weirdest things), what album would you recommend next for me to try?

For those who don't know the band, here's their website and Myspace:

Ah, just found this.

Hmmm... where to start. I recommend not to back track from Hysteria, I thought their first few albums were very much getting a feel for their sound. So Hysteria is like an accumulated mass of their earlier sound. There is every chance if you dislike that album, you might not like any of their albums. This being said, for a beginner I would push forward their next two albums Cicadidae and Absencen, especially Cicadidae which I find is their strongest out put. These two albums, while strikingly similar to Hysteria, they exhibit a greater array of influences. Even sneaking in some trip-hop along the way.

For me the Kollektief part of the band is the most important. About half the songs on their albums are improvisations, which really hits a key with me. For me improv is the life source of music. I can understand this is suitable mood music, especially in the wee hours of the morning in a dimly lit (preferable by candle) room.

Great, thanks a lot.

Cicadidae it is then. I think I'll get it at Temporary Residence Limited ( http://www.temporaryresidence.com/ - http://www.temporaryresidence.com/ ) where I saw all three of those mentioned here so far for 12$.

Thanks, Adam.

Just stopping by to tell you that Cicadidae is my favorite album from them. I prefer it over Hysteria which is the other album I have from them.
