I'm really not that suprised..I have written tons of riffs that sound very similar to the artists that influence me without realizing it till later. Pretty cool thing you found there though.

Most of it is popular bands copying other popular bands...strange.

Yeah, pretty much...

or you could go ahead and say they're all copying the blues or classical in some way. There's only so much music in the world.
