With the same sense of the insane, burt not as wild, you might want to try Tea & Symphony >> both albums are good.
Without the same insaneness but simlilar acid folk feel >> Spirogyra >> St Radiguns and Bells Boots & Shambles are both excellent. ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

great suggestiouns by Sean. I really don't like tea And Symphonys' second, though. I'd reccomend Incredible String Band: The Hangmans' Beautiful Daughter, too. This might be a little far fetched, but Catherine Ribeiro's five-six first albums are all beautiful, really intense and pretty folky. I love her. Ribeiro (see under Alpes in the database ) is not really folk for me, they're definitely psyched out with Ribeiro close to anarchy

T&S's Jo Sago is really weird and hasn't aged all that well IMHO. Faun Fables is a great recommendation, so are Espers and Woven Hand. Also a band that isn't listed here but maybe should be - String Cheese Incident. Fresh Maggots is a duo that could be considered similar to Jan Dukes De Grey. And maybe Silmaril. She's just as much folk as Jan de Dukes - Mice an Rats ... but more importantly a relevant reccomendation, Imo. Woven Hand is pure magic! Especially Consider the Birds.
