Kind of surprised this band hasn't found it's way into the site. They're from NY and definitely influenced by Pink Floyd. They've had 4 releases, 3 full length and a 40 minute improv they did at a Philadelphia radio station. Their most recent release, The Diaries of Private Henry Hill, is a conceptual piece about the evolution and demise of a young soldier in the Iraq war. A quote from a review done by allmusic.com: "Musically, it is easy to compare Private Henry Hill with latter-day Pink Floyd..., the theme is one that is likewise dear to Roger Waters' heart, but more than that, the performance possesses that same sense of gut-wrenching drama that was the hallmark of Waters' most effective compositions." Not sure where they fit in though . They have a symphonic sound at times, yet can be psychedelic as well. They are a signed band to an indie label.
