I just thought I'd post the following gig dates here for the band Panic Room, who have formed from the remnants of Karnataka (but no Rachel Jones).  Lydney Town Hall is a great little venue, so if you like Karnataka and want to see a similar band play in a good little venue, then this may appeal to you.

The e-mail I received, I am sure Stephen won't mind me giving out some free advertising. Clap

Hi All

Just a quick midweek note to let you all know about  http://www.sonicbond.com/prodtype.asp?PT_ID=164&strPageHistory=cat - Panic Room dates in April!

Panic Room are the new band formed by two thirds of Karnataka after the bands split in 2004.  It features Anne Marie Helder - lead vocals, Jonathan Edwards - keyboards, Paul Davies - guitar and Gavin John Griffiths - drums, with Alan Vaughn on bass.  The band's superb debut album Visionary Position is well worth the wait and is released in a few weeks. It will, of course, be on sale from http://www.sonicbond.com/ - Sonicbond !

The band say: "We'll be playing songs from Visionary Position, some as yet unrecorded new songs, some nods to our past and some surprises that we think you'll love."

The first date is at http://www.sonicbond.com/product.asp?numRecordPosition=2&P_ID=1251&strPageHistory=cat&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=164 - Lydney Town Hall, Gloucestershire on April 11th , and support is from the superb http://www.sonicbond.com/prodtype.asp?PT_ID=297&strPageHistory=cat - Mermaid Kiss whose album http://www.sonicbond.com/product.asp?numRecordPosition=1&P_ID=1072&strPageHistory=cat&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=297 - Etarlis has been a real favourite with Sonicbond customers. Tickets can be bought online from Sonicbond here, price £12 plus a £1 booking fee.  Please bear in mind that sonicbond discount codes cannot be used on this item.

The other dates are:

April 12th. Herringthorpe Leisure Centre for the CRS with support http://www.sonicbond.com/prodtype.asp?PT_ID=514&strPageHistory=cat - The Dreaming Tree .

That looks interesting. What caught my attention was where you mentioned Mermaid Kiss. They sent me a friend request yesterday, and I accepted it. Now, I can say I'm friends with the band.

Well, I may still be tempted yet... I prefer neo-prog when it's live (not that I've seen much live neo-prog) and there is a female singer, so I could be swayed...
