Erhm . . . I chose Yes just because it was very innovative at the time to have such a lush logo to identify a rock band with.

In terms of modern bands, though, I very much like Tool's ''Lateralus"-era logo and Symphony X's logo. But Opeth's is good, too. Wink

If you put "out of these" in the tittle why did you put the "other" option?

Out of those, I would say Yes.

Does Zeppelin even have a logo?

I chose Yes', their logo basically resembles classic prog within itself for me.

They do nowadays. I'm not sure if they always did, though.

From the list -  Opeth's logo is super cool but a b*gger to carve into a school desk - you could knock-off a reasonable facsimile of the Yes logo in a few minutes with a pair of compasses.Wink

My favorites for carving in school desks were always Judas Priest and Twisted Sister.

The old Marillion logo, I think.

I never heard anything from Opeth Embarrassed , but their logo is cool, I must say. I also liked the old Traffic logo.

red hot chili peppers

so simple, yet so recognisable. Yes's logo's a little too flamoyant for me...

As far as the school desk-test is concerned, I always used this Rush logo (sorry, couldn't find the logo on its own):

I admit that VdGG are one of my favorite bands. however, I really think the Escher-style letters of the logo are very fitting for the band, which is why it is an excellent logo for them

I agree...

And all of you people, you can't fail to see the magic in the DT logo... (which was originally for Majesty, which explains why there's no D or T on it...)Tongue

Yes - The quintessential band logo!
2nd would be Zeppelin and 3rd would be the Stones (the tongue is classic!)
Besides Zeppelin's band logo, it also has the "runes" symbols - one for each member - from the album IV ("untitled"). I still love these despite their over-commercialized use on t-shirts for poser/emo kids at Hot Topic.
