As you all know, at the top of all the pages here (under the PA banner) is a tool/navigation bars. When ever I have unread messages in my inbox the little envelope/letter icon next to the words '# new messages' comes up as a red X.

Is this just me, or is it more of a widespread problem?

I'm on IE if that makes any difference to anything.

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

It doesn't happen to me in Firefox, but indeed it does happen in IE.

Anybody else experiencing this?
