I think he has a pretty good, diverse sound. The influences list was basically a list of a lot of bands I like, and he combines said influences nicely. I could see a good fit for him in symphonic, since the  music does have that melodic, orchestral approach. If this was a full band, it'd be pretty impressive, but seeing as it's just one person orchestrating all this, that's yet more impressive.

Indeed. Oh, and I forgot to move this to 'Suggest' yesterday, after all, there is an album on sale.

Thanks!

Thanks!  Limitations is possibly one of the most depressing things I've ever written lyrically...I'm quite proud of it!  Glad you like it!

As far as wine...well, I'm not that choosy myself: most of the wine I've drank came out of boxes.  Nice thing about it though...you can use the semi filled inner bag as a pillow.  Helps to keep the bugs from crawling into your ears when you fall asleep on someone's lawn.

There I go,  waxing all nostalgic...

Will talk with E and Guigo to check them ASAP for Symph or Neo Prog.

It's always a pleasure.

Hey QEO, lets see:

1.- The Story Ends Here: Has a lot of Watcher of the Skies with light Neo textures, sounds good apparently for Neo, but still I have to listen more.

2.- God: Sounds more Neo even, also somehow oriented towards Genesis atmospheres with a bit of Drama era Yes

3.- Limitations: Love that organ, honestly the vocals don't captivate me but that's not the point here, taste is subjective, now the AWBH references seem clear.

4.- Simple: Reminds me of Steve Howe's style even when a bit folkish, I would say this is very eclectic

5.- The Prophet: Aagain returning to Yes, reminds me a bit of the Tormato album, maybe Rejoice?

6.- Singularity: Hey.......King Crimson Time? But with Jazzy leanings apparently.

7.- Slow Down: Now Folkish with a late 60's touch.

8.- The Madness of Crowds:  Prog Related IMO, weird track

9.- Cicadas: Floydish track with a bit of Bowie?

10.- The Prophet's Theme: Of course, you mentioned ELP.

Of course I only heard CD Baby by now, but sounds interesting, I believe it's Prog, not sure if Symphonic or Neo, sounds a bit more Eclectic or Crossover to me, but I think there's no way this band can stay out of Prog Archives.

I will talk with the guys of the team ASAP but I recommend that Eclectic and Crossover also listen this for a better categorization.

Iván

One of the few cases in which a couple of sub-genres can't decide if to leta band go to another sub-genre.

WONDERFUL. will wait for what the team says, but I'm glad to say they are already in Prog Archives and I welcome that, weather in Xover, Neo or Symph, it's healthy for the site and great for the band, talks us about their quality.

Cheers

Has anybody gone as far as getting the album? A review (or a few more) would be well deserved...

Yes, of course, Angelo - unfortunately I don't have access to the complete album - otherwise I would have reviewed it for sure ...

Don't take it personal Uwe, we have more members than just you - it was a generic question. I was triggered because of an old MySpace conversation with John.

If anyone wants a copy for review, just let me know where to send it.  It's not like it's flying off the shelves like the latest Beyonce album (self released Prog albums don't exactly get people storming the gates at your local music retailer)...

I still have enough promo copies around to share if you'd like a copy.
