Maybe we could use a section where we can introduce a new band ("check this out" etc.). Because it happens al the time and I think these 'advises' and tips should have their own place. Or am I saying something silly now?

Yeah, I didn't mention your name, but you made me think of this!

The "classics" are great, but there are a lot of newer bands carrying the torch and putting a new spin on things. If you like Yes and ELP, check out Syzygy and Glass Hammer. Floyd? Try RPWL and Lands End. Gentle Giant? There is Echolyn, Bubblemath and Land of Chocolate. VDGG? Listen to Parallel or 90 Degrees. None are direct copies, but they take the influence and run. Bands like IZZ take all the influences and mix them with pop, world, celtic and mix 'em up.

If nothing else, there an "evolution" to music, it's not static. Okay I'll shut up now.

Guys:

I have asked Max to create a new category under which we can put (i) "check this out" stuff, (ii) musicians looking for musicians, (iii) musicians looking for comments on downloadable work, and any other similar stuff.  We will be working on it and hope to have it ready soon.

Peace.
