| If you guys have Enslaved on the archive, you HAVE to add this band from the US. They describe their style as progressive blackadelia! In other words, progressive black metal that has influences from jazz, rock, fusion, avant-garde and so on. Their title alone for thier forthcoming album should be a good reason for adding them. It is called Assassins: Black Meddle Part I referring to Floyd's Meddle album. Fantastic progressive metal band, wake up guys! |

| I saw these guys opening for Opeth about a month back and figured I'd revive this topic. I only have their latest album, but based on that I think they deserve to be listed here. In my opinion it's an excellent mix of black metal and psychedelia. |

it is a pretty typical sounding black metal name, but it's actually pretty clever, with nacht being the german word for night and mystium coming from latin and meaning something like "enveloping" so it means "enveloping darkness".
name aside, i think the music, at least from what i've heard is definitely progressive in nature, even if it's not in line with traditional prog and they are definitely an interesting band for people that can stand screamed lyrics and heavy music.
