Wet shave, because my expensive electric raser broke down not very long after I bought it. After a while I made up my mind: I don't want to go back to the electric raser anymore .

I prefer foam, because it feels better than the cool gel I used before. I want to wake up in a smooth way LOL. It does make a difference which brand you use, I found out. The cheap one I'm using now is like whipped cream that hasn't been whipped enough, if you know what I mean.

First option, although "shaving is boring".

I use shaving gel but I will use shaving foam as well at time. Another poll question could be: How often do you shave?

Gel, but when coming in thick enough..I will pwn the beard holders.

If I want a good shave, then I use shaving gel.  If I just want to not look gross, dry shave with a "mains razor"

I have a chargeable 'lectric razor. It wasn't doing so well the other day, so I opened it up to clean it out and there was so much hair. It looked like a pile of graphite or something was built up inside my razor. Funny crap. Now it's cleaned out and I get a smooth shave.

I use the electric when I'm lazy, and I use the foam when I'm in need of a good shave. I normally let it grow for a week at least before touching it because I'm normally that lazy. Also, LOL at me trying to grow a soulpatch and failing.

I do teh ekletrick razer.

Though I only shave like once every couple of weeks, because I hate doing it. My facial hair grows quickly too. So I go like 4 days a month being clean-shaven, the rest being [various].

Gel takes toooooo looooooooooooooong. No time for it. I'd rather sit here and lurk/post in important threads like this.

Yeah, when I go about it, once or twice a month, I cut the long beard with the buzzing machine. Then when it's possible to go razoring, I spread foam on it and scratch it all off. Then aftershave. I couldn't shave all the time, my skin gets so irritated by the scratching, and I've yet to find a good enough machine that doesn't hurt and make my skin turn red and spotty. So I just use the trimmer. But shaving's always worth it. Beard gets you older women and gets you into bars, but the smooth jaw is what the girlfriend likes the best, even though se refuses to admit it.

Wet Shave

I have learned to treat shaving as a 'luxury' and not a chore

I use the following every day:-
A hot towel to warm the face
Hot water
A 'badger hair' shaving brush
A bowl of Geo. F. Trumper's Almond shaving cream
A Gillette Mach 3 razor
An Alum block stiptic/astringent
Cold Towel
Geo. F. Trumper's West Indian Limes aftershave

-------------

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Sorry guys, but that reminds me too much of 'American Psycho's Patrick Bateman:

"Before shaving, I always press a hot towel against my face for two minutes to soften abrasive beard hair. Then I slather on a moisturizer and let it soak in for a minute. You can rinse it off or keep it on and apply shaving cream over it -- preferably with a brush, which softens the beard as it lifts the whiskers, making hair removal easier. Rinse the razor and shake off any excess water before starting. Afterwards splash cool water on the face to remove any trace of lather. You should use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol. Never, ever use cologne on your face since the alcohol content will dry your skin out and make you look older. Applying a moisturizer is the final step. If the face seems dry and flaky -- which can make it look dull and older -- use a clarifying lotion that removes flakes and uncovers fine skin.

Then apply anti-aging eye balm.

Then have a poo"

I use a bic lighter and an aerosol (old spice deoderant works best) to burn the whiskers off my face once a week.  If you do it fast enough, it doesn't burn the skin....much.  Ouch

Doesn't work for my goatee. Of course, I suppose I could come up with some sort of goatee template of a non-flammable material.

Various combinations actually... Sometimes I go for the nice, clean shave, sometimes I let it be for three or two days, when winter comes I let it grow freely or some other times I just leave the goatee and the sideburns... It's all about the right kind of proggy or unproggy mood LOL

Cheers

My facial hair varies between a goatee and a full beard, I only seem to shave about once every 8-10 weeks with occasional trims of the moustache every 3 or 4 weeks simply to stop it getting in my mouth all the time.

Norelco, because I am lazy.  Use gel/razor every other week because the electric can't handle things.  No longer am tempted to grow facial hair because it would surely confirm my status as a greybeard.
