The Tea Party is a Canadian heavy progband with bleus, Indian and Middle eastern influences.
Samples are listenable here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=34981605 - http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=34981605 .
I would place this band in the Heavy Prog genre, although they also have lots of folk elements. I will gladly hear what you proggers think about this.Wink

From what I knew, I'd never thought of them as prog.  Will listen to the myspace tracks tomorrow.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

this is an interesting heavy blues/psych band with a taste for Jim Morrison and Hendrix   ..not really HeavyProg, another team is of course welcome to check

Although their are some folk influences here, but I wouldn't place them in this genre. Ermm  Prehaps crossover prog would fit better, I just listened to some more stuff of them.
Else, never mind this band.
