Erik Truffaz : The Walk Of The Giant Turtle (Blue note 2003)
 
 a great NuJazz record by French trumpet player and composer Erik Truffaz , not unlike Nils Petter Molvaer he combines a moody, brooding sound with a drum and bass groove,  treated  F Rhodes and trumpet  and great drumming and electric bass play.

Nice! I've heard Erik Truffaz once in MTV, in a sort of rap, and didnt manage to find it. maybe the spelling was wrong Embarrassed 
now with the correct spelling I'll try again. Thanks

Excelent album, one of my favorite jazz records from the last 30 years.
