Just saw the news on TV. He's coming on March, dates are not scheduled, yet.

I'm no fan of his solo career, that's because I don't have any of his albums. But it would be interesting to go, I'll convince my dad.

Great news! It seems he will be playing on March 20th in Velez Stadium, although it hasn't been posted in his official website yet. I hope I can be there. Does anyone know what stuff is he playing live lately?

The last tour was 'The Warm Up Tour' in the European summer of 2007. It was a 'Best of...' sort of set, from suggestions/wish list by fans via his website, all pre-UP, which had been toured extensively. 'Encore' Cd's are available from themusic.com, with a discount if you sign up to PG Half Moon Club (free). Not sure if the set varied much but this was an example.

Set List

Arezzo Set List

The Rhythm Of The Heat
On The Air
Intruder
D.I.Y.
Washing Of The Water
Steam
Blood Of Eden
Love Town
No Self Control
Solsbury Hill
Mother Of Violence
Family Snapshot
Lay Your Hands On Me
Big Time
Signal To Noise
Secret World

ENCORE:

I remember voting for songs for the setlist last year, but I didn't know that was the last tour.

(here comes the obvious question; no disrespect to peter's solo career, i love the guy...)

does peter still play ANY genesis material on tour?

if not, when was the last time he played any genesis songs?

I'm not sure, but I think he hasn't played Genesis songs since late 70's or early 80's. He used to play The lamb lies down on Broadway on his first or second tour, I can't remember about any other Genesis song he played.
I like his solo albums, but it would be great if he would play some Genesis stuff, maybe not Supper's ready but I think for example I know what I like, Carpet crawlers or The lamb would fit in the setlist.

PG songs are good enough to give one hell of a show. Besides I don't want to see a 60 year old guy dress like a flower.

David Allen in pijamas is more than enough

By the way , Velez???? I don't think he is that popular around here. A small concert for 10000 people would be much better.

^yeah I agree. But I suppose some more people of the expected will go, you never know. Maybe Argentina is the #1 country-fan of all the world. Maybe even the "Penguin" couple are fans of himTongue

I'm wondering if this is yet another tour to make a DVD and rake in the bucks or to prompt a new studio album release?

I ll put all my Genesis albums in a bonfire if Gabriel just says hi to those b*****ds. And I expect him not to do that with the " Abuelas de plaza de Mayo" either , Bono would do that for sure.

Politics are the worst , but still you have to participate and to be informed when you get to vote in some years. Otherwise Nestor & friends will governate till the end of time.

^hahaha, let's make our conspiracy here in PA, and then spread throughout ArgentinaTongue Oh wait! Nestor's spies are spying PA, especially argentine members, damn.....I suppose I'll have to ask the admins to change my name quick! What are you waiting for !!Wink

He played Back in NYC as well during his solo shows in the 70s.

I think I read in Genesis: Chapter & Verse that he was considering playing Supper's Ready on one of his solo tours too.

I use to think he was very popular, maybe cos I know who he is since a long time ago, even thogh I didn't care that much for his music till about 3 or 4 years ago. The same with Genesis. But lately I've realised a lot of people don't have a clue about who Peter is, and some people don't even know Phil Collins used to sing in a band called Genesis. Let alone know Peter Gabriel sang on Genesis before Collins. And I don't mean 15 year old kids, even 30 year old people, I mean, where the hell have they been in the 80's and early 90's??? Maybe it's just the stupid people in this f**king town.

Anyone knows when PG tickets sale will start? All I know is that a company called Top Show is on charge.

There's no mention of the show in the website yet http://www.topshow.com.ar But the date hasn't even been posted on Peter Gabriel's official site. Anyway, it's supposed to be on March 20 so I wouldn't worry about tickets till February, I don't think they will sell out fast, especially if it's in Velez.

The date is already in PG's site and the tickets are on sale since last monday in http://www.topshow.com.ar/Ticketing/Web/Public/EventoInfo.aspx?CODE=EVEN000017 - www.topshow.com.ar . Apparently it's an exclusive pre sale for people with a Santander Rio card until February 8th.
These are the prices for the show:
Vip Gold $ 450,00 + $ 45,00
Vip Pref $ 400,00 + $ 40,00
Vip $ 350,00 + $ 35,00
P.Pref $ 300,00 + $ 30,00
P.Com $ 220,00 + $ 22,00
P.Alta $ 75,00 + $ 8,00
Campo $ 90,00 + $ 9,00

I think I'm going to the field, wich is behind the vip sector, I hope it's not too far.
