Just popping in to say 'Hi'. I'm no stranger to web forums, but I'm a newbie to this one! I was never aware that there was a forum out there for fans of the Prog genre, but there is.. and here I am. Many of the bands I know and love seem to fall into this category- Marillion, Jethro Tull, Rush, ELP, Asia, Yes, and most recently for me, King Crimson. Most of the other musicians and artists I appreciate are also of the type that take the music rulebook and tear it up, such as Kate Bush and Bowie.
