I have long believed I belonged to the minority by liking crunchy peanut butter. Now I'm doing the most scientific study possible to discover if I was right: creating a poll on PA EDIT: Perhaps I like the crunchy version because I'm nutty. I know it's a horrible pun and I'm sure other people could do it better. I just want first bidding. ------------- Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal. |

Smooth. Incidentally, there is a Salmonella alert against peanut butters here in the Philippines, so I wont be buying peanut butter anytime soon.

 It's essentially a thick paste made by putting peanuts without the shell in a food processor and sometimes adding oil. Crunchy peanut butter has extra bits of peanuts mixed in with the paste while smooth does not. If peanut butter is so rare in Hungary, I doubt peanuts are any different. If you can, however come across peanuts, I recommend making some http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/homemade-peanut-butter-recipe/index.html - peanut butter . The typical way to eat peanut butter, at least in the United States is to make a peanut butter and fruit jelly/jam/preserves sandwich. ------------- Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal. |

This is not only rare here, I've never seen something like that in Hungary, but if I remember well I've already heard the name (the Hungarian word is a mirror translation of the English) in some cartoons when I was a young boy. I can't really decide between the two, but have a hankering for crunchy now. Peanut butter is some of the greatest stuff known to mankind. A friend of my parents told me that it's usually only Americans who like peanut better, and that other people around the world think it's disgusting.
