They maybe marketed for children but you know your still eating them. Which of these "children's" cereals is your favorite? Healthy cereals need not apply.
For me, Count Chocula rules over all but the new Keebler Cookie Crunch is a close second. -------------  Time always wins. |

Actually, I rarely eat cereal (if I do, it's the wife's Special K  ), but wait......no Cooooooooooookie Crisp??? my all time fave is Honey Smacks (and/or Super Sugar Crisp), y'know with the bear or frog.. also loved Buckwheats which was like a maple flavored Wheaties but it hasn't been on the market for years Cookie Crisp is vile   |

yeah most brands do taste kinda arboreal, no this actually was a tasty and sweet mix of oats, dried fruit and nuts.. can you imagine? |

| I have to admit I have never tried any of these. Actually, I've only started eating cereal on a regular basis when I moved to the US - and I generally go for the so-called 'health' varieties (not Alpen, though... I agree with Dean that it tastes a bit like tree bark). I tried Just Bunches a few months ago, but it was just too sweet for me. |

Boo Berry, you gotta love any of those cereals with the Styrofoam marshmallows. I remember as a kid this long discontinued cereal called Pink Panther. It was flakes that turned your milk pink. |

Who knows? Corn Flakes are called Corn Flakes over here, so it's not as if we couldn't handle the concept of flaked corn even though technically they aren't flakes of corn but dried flakes of corn mush but then did you know that when they put a frosted coating on Rice Crispies we called it RiCiCLES?
 Then, if Americans call a Mars Bar a Milky Way and a Milky Way a Three Musketeers then why did we have to change the name of a Marathon bar to Snickers? And did you know that the Brit Milky Way floats on water but an American one sinks? ------------- What? |

I was at the Buford Highway Farmer's Market the other day and saw Star Trek cereal. And another thing, isn't it amusing how Corn Pops used to be Sugar Corn Pops? our 'Marathon bar' was a long twisty thing of choc-coated caramel that looked like a pretzel, one of my favorites as a kid.. they also tended to pull people's fillings out, maybe that's why they were discontinued  and evidently the floating Brit Milky Ways are not witches? Glad we sorted that out. |

I remember being in London (or was it Dublin) and being very afraid of the ones that had a Snickers wrapper but were called something else.. I just didn't know what I'd be getting and didn't want to waste the few pounds I had in my pocket |

bowl. Bring honey and oil to a boil in a small saucepan. Remove from
heat, add vanilla, and stir. Add the wet ingredients to the oats
mixture and stir well. Spread on 2 large, greased baking pans with
sides. Bake 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to prevent burning. Store in a Tupperware or refrigerate in sealed Ziploc bags.

I rehabed from cereals and stuck to these, but there are other good brands.
A real müeslihead would do own stuff in oven from fresh ingredients.
I prefer this barkpulp with sour milk, honey and berries.
