I just noticed:

Weren't all of these bands "Featured Artists" at some point or another on PA?

I really hope to be able to go, work schedule permitting!

Will the bands have cd's for sale there?

I have Edensong's album and Doomsday Afternoon, but I'd like to get Phideaux new album (and older ones) as well as 3RDegree's album (if I like what I hear, that is).

Also, what can we expect the bands to play? Will there be some new material?

Yes, I'm sure we will all have Merch tables where you can avoid shipping costs-always nice.  I'm sure Phideaux will be playing lots from his new Number 7 album.  Edensong I don't know.  3RDegree?  We will be playing at least one new song (post-Narrow-Caster).  We will try to do three new songs at ProgDay on 9/6 though.

FYI-Tickets are now on sale at http://www.europaclub.com - http://www.europaclub.com which connects you to http://www.ticketweb.com - http://www.ticketweb.com .  Don't be scared by the incorrect title "3RDegree featuring Edensong/Phideaux".  Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

We've never been featured artist?   :-(   waaaaahhhhhhh
Maybe one day!  :-)

Meanwhile, we are rehearsing a set that is Chupacabras/Doomsday/Seven centric -- perhaps with more of an emphasis on Doomsday...  Although we will be playing a totally new song that we have yet to record.

Hope to see y'all there!

Sounds great to me.

As for the other bands, I have Edensong's album which I like a lot, so looking forward to that one as well.
As for 3RDegree, I only know their Myspace songs and those sound very good so I expect to hear more good stuff live and maybe buy their album at the show.

Anyone else here going to the show?

Avestin,

Hope to play well enough that you get our songs on myspace and beyond into your head and get yourself a CD....or two....We will be breaking in 2 new members of the band and be down one man (our California based co-writer/guitarist Pat) but it should be a great show nonetheless.  Our keyboard and vocal side will probably just be on display a bit more than when we play ProgDay as a 5-piece (rather than 4) a month later and melt faces with our 2 guitar assault. Wink

Robert

Damn, I hate living where I do. No prog acts ever come this way. (Well, except for when Tool played in Huntington, but that was a rarity)

Sorry, guys. I wish I could go, I really like all three bands, but I just don't have the extra bucks or time to go out there. Cry

Everybody, let me know how it goes, alright? Thumbs Up

So tomorrow, it's off work earlier and heading to NYC to meet my wife there and then both of us will head to Brooklyn to the show.
Really looking forward to it.
It seems several Prog Ears members will be there, but not anyone from here, too bad.
Anyway, I hope I can report back how it was.

Sounds like a plan.  Catch some nearby dinner but do not walk in later than 8pm sharp if you want to catch 3RDegree.  Changes between bands should be pretty quick as we're sharing equipment.  So you should "get your prog on" with 3 bands in a very compact bit of time.
