Hi, I've stumbled across another interesting band which should find its place here in the archives. Actually, I saw them live yesterday during the first gig of the Festival Jazz in the Old Town in Warsaw. | Nice band; I watched the videos. They seem to make an eclectic mix of electric jazz, world music and new-age. I liked the ethnic stuff the most. The only jazz-rock sample was, to my ears, the one in the short snippet (second video). Fusion yes, Jazz-Rock Fusion no imho. |

| Hey Tuz, they sound like a 'festival band', some music just lends itself to large open spaces as opposed to a small nightclub. Nice stuff, some definite European Nu Jazz influences plus world beat and Chick Corea influences. Djabe gets a yes vote from me, now all you need is one more yes from Dick or Martin and they are in. |

I know Djabe for years, have seen them few times live. Very competent jazz fusion with Balkan and Central European world influences. They have long discography, albums are quite different between each other in style. I prefer early,more jazzy albums.
They regularly plays in SE Europe and there in Baltics. Last summer I
've seen them in Saulkrasti jazz festival nice summer evening in park just 100 m from Baltic sea playing with Steve Hackett. (To be honest, I prefer their works without Hackett!). This summer they have Adriatic/Balkan tour with Steve Hackett as well. First common (live) album is released in 2009 ( whenever there is no separate Djabe section on PA, I just placed it in Steve Hackett discography, what isn't fully correct) and DVD from concert as well.
They have good site in English with full history, discography and some videos, plenty of songs from different albums to listen and even download for free! http://djabe.hu - http://djabe.hu
How I understand from previous discussion, no-one are against them in PA, many are for,so - what the result?
If they will be included I am ready to fill their page.
