Today, August 10th, Motion Theory, the alt-prog rock band from Durham launched their new album 'featherhead'.  This collection of rock, prog and "lounge metal" is an interesting development from their debut EP 'Sunlight on the Sand' (2008).

There are strong down-the-line rock tracks (Make Some Noise, Until You Leave), progressive overtones (I Love the Smell of the Universe in the Morning) and a bit of singalong (All I Need) but overall it is a collection of strong, varied songs with interesting vocals, exceptional guitar solos and some complex rhythms.

Have a listen at http://www.motiontheoryband.com - www.motiontheoryband.com  .  The entire album is downloadable for free from the home page.

Smile
