I think this Finnish "Battle Metal" band would fit nicely into the Prog Metal bracket. Their music, whilst undeniably metal, also contains very progressive elements like longer tracks, huge amounts of orchestral instrumentation, the inclusion of traditional folk music and instruments, and lyrics based on fantasy and myth. Also, their second album, "The Varangian Way" is a concept album about the river routes in Eastern Europe. Check!

"The Land Of Hope And Glory" can be found here: http://www.myspace.com/turisastheband - http://www.myspace.com/turisastheband

Please don't avoid the "TVW medley 2", it hardly deserves the name as it is only the first 2 minutes of "In The Court Of Jarisleif" and the last 2 of "The Dnieper Rapids" and it's well worth a listen in showing the versatility of the band.
If you can find the track "The Miklagard Overture" anywhere, please do have a listen and post a link up here, I think it is their best (and a more progressive) track.
Please try and avoid "Rasputin", it's their attempt at mainstream recognition, and is not a very good representation of their style.

I think if TYR can get on here as progressive metal, then these guys definitely deserve a spot.
