AS A FOLLOW-UP OF THE FABULOUS SOLARIS ENSEMBLE, NOSTRADAMUS WAS FOUNDED IN MAY 2007. ACCORDING TO AN AGREEMENT OF ALL SOLARIS BAND-MEMBERS “SOLARIS FUSION” CHANGED THEIR NAME TO “NOSTRADAMUS” – STILL REFERRING TO THE FACT THAT TAMÁS PÓCS (BASS) AND LASZLÓ GÖMÖR (DRUMS) ARE MEMBERS OF SOLARIS. "Nostradamus continues the music world of Solaris - which is best represented by the ligated compositions and key passages of the composer, Vali Barcsik and the solos of the flutist Péter Földes, though the bass play of Tamás Pócs contains well recognisable Solaris features. András Bertalan's more heavy-prog guitar-play is accompanied by László Gömör's hard themes for the rhythm section, especially double-bass pedals: thus in certain cases, the sound moves to heavy-prog, compared with the Solaris. The elaborated colourful compositions will please both the enthusiansts of instrumental progressive rock and those Solaris lovers who have longed for a studio album for 9 years." I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.
