I really enjoy Acid Mothers Temple and it seems to me that not so many people in the forum like them. There are true reasons for this:they tend to be self indulgent, playing music which has already been composed and they have a pastiche view of things.I really like La Novia,Mantra of Love and so on so I would like all of you to explain why you like or dislike them(don't hesitate to be frank).

I only have two discs, but, yeah, me like.  More acid, more madness.
If there were to be a qualifier it would be that after two discs I haven't felt the need to buy anymore.  Perhaps someone better informed about them than me can counter this claim but I got the impression, Wow, this is cool, but I wonder if it's all sounds like this.  Is there a great variation amongst their albums, or does they all kind of freakout in the same general kind of way?  (Sorry I don't access to my discs, so I don't recall the particular names of the two I have.)

Personally, I have nothing against them, but can do without them, so I voted nay.  Who am I to determine what anyone else should listen to?  Ying Yang

Only have two of their albums. A huge thumbs up for me.

A big yay - or maybe that should be hai! - from me; the studio albums are a bit hit and miss, but they're and incandescent live band and Kawabata Makoto is the greatest psychedelic guitarist on the planet.

I have the same fillings: one of my friends, who is the fan of AMT lent me once a few studio albums and I just couldn't cope with some of them, usually after 20 minutes I was giving up even if I felt there was some idea in that long parts of chaotic noise.

However I have seen the concert of AMT in 2007 and I was smashed! That was one of the best concert I have ever seen-full of wild energy, long improvisations, passion. I fell in love with songs 'Pink Lady Lemonade' and 'La Novia', beautiful, intense and touching. After show it was possible to have a chat with band members as they stayed in club to have a drink.

I was looking for some good live album of AMT but album which I purchesed 'Burn to be wild in the USA' I found quite weak recorded. Much interesting, full concert, can be found on the last.fm website:
