I believe that 3rd World Electric could be added to the jazz rock/fusion genre for their new release Klimanjaro Secret Brew.  If you are not familiar with 3rd World Electric, they are made up of Jonas Reingold, Roine Stolt, and Zoltan Csorsz from the Flower Kings, with Dave Weckl, who plays drums with Chick Corea's band, and Lalle Larsson, who also plays keyboards for Karmakanic, and is touring and playing with Karmakanic and Agents of Mercy.  In addition, they have a sax player, Karl Martin Almqvist, and a Conga and Percussionist Ayi Solomon.  Their music is entirely instrumental jazz music, which I believe would fall under the jazz rock category here on PA.

Here is a link to their MySpace page, which contains samples.  http://www.myspace.com/3rdworldelectric - http://www.myspace.com/3rdworldelectric

Here is a link to Reingold Records, where they also have samples (may be the same ones).  http://www.reingoldrecords.com/ - http://www.reingoldrecords.com/

Thank you in advance for your time in evaluating this new band from the Flower Kings' family.

Scott

I listened to this album again today.  I think it really will be a good edition to PA, especially with the major players of modern prog and jazz that are involved.

I gave this another spin this morning and I am still hoping that they can find a home here.
