Check out the band Time Columns from Maryland, our music sounds like an amalgamation of Battles and Explosions in the Sky. The guitar work gets nifty with the use of two gibson echoplexes to loop and plenty of ridiculous poly-rhythms in the rhythm section.

It's amazing how technology has helped push the limits of prog music nowadays. Check out Time Column's myspace page and I'll be sure to send you some free tracks for your effort.

Anybody know some other bands that rely heavily on loops or samples? It seems like Steve Reich has left his mark on the prog community...
