Both classics from the Jazz Rock genre but never acclaimed so highly since compositionally they're rather simple compared to the Jazz Rock giant bands.

Anyways, these are two of my favorite recordings, which one do you prefer?

Both nice albums, but the blow blows the best.  And if you don't have the Beck at Scott's DVD, shame on you.  No Cobham but Tal on bass makes up for that. Big smile

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Im going with Spectrum, Billy Cobham's drumming is always a treat to listen to. I have Blow by Blow on vinyl and I would have to say the track Cause we ended  as lovers has some of the greatest guitar work ever!

Both great albums, so it's not easy to choose. I voted for Spectrum  though - Cobham's drumming is a real delight, and "Quadrant 4" is one hell of an opener.

Pablo knows my answer....Spectrum by about 100 degrees of magnitude.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

My vote also goes for Spectrum since I find it not only being Cobham a highlight, but also Jan Hammer and Tommy Bolin, which unlike Blow by Blow which the only real highlight is Jeff.
