There have been five new samples added to the Spock's Beard myspace page since the four original ones were added.

What are the Beard fans of this board thinking about them?

I think I've never been more excited about a Non-Neal Morse Spock's Beard album. According to the samples, I think they've just raised the bar really high.

Spock's is one of my favorite bands, the new samples sound great, and I loved some things off of the last two.

My only wish, is that Nick D'Virgilio would use his brilliant falsetto more - now that he sings lead, he tends to use that midrangey, more ordinary-sounding  "singer-songwriter" voice that he has - most good frontmen have some kind of unusual traits to their voice they can use to add identity and interest...other than that, I enjoy them very much and look forward to this release...

A la June? Yeah, I know what you mean, D'Virgilio has a beautiful falsetto.

And I really want to hear other ingenious bass riffs from Meros. The beginning of Here's A Man was fabulous (a jazzy touch that added depth to the Beard's sound), I'm eager to hear what he had in bank for this one.

http://www.last.fm/group/Prog+Sphere - Prog Sphere spoke recently with Alan Morse of Spock's Beard. We talked about SB’s new album, some previous releases, his connection with martial artist Chuck Norris and so on. So, put your favorite Spock’s Beard album in the deck, get comfortable, and read the words of Mr. Morse. Check it out on http://www.prog-sphere.com - www.prog-sphere.com
