I was surprised to just learn today that the Parallels lineup of Fates Warning are currently reunited and played their first show together on Friday.  Whether it's just temporary or long term, I'm not sure.  It might say in the article but just having Fates Warning active is good news.

I didn't even know that Parallels was getting the reissue treatment, but it sounds like a hell of a package, so I may pick it up tomorrow after school at the local HMV (it's supposedly in-stock).

This is GREAT news! I expected a Fates reunion soon enough but never with Frank Aresti and Joe Dibiase on board!

I hope they tour worldwide again

Big smile

Sorry to dash your hopes, but Jim has stated they are doing a few shows with the reunited lineup to celebrate Parallels and then Fates Warning will be back to business as usual, this is not permanent and there will be no major tour.

I figured it wouldn't be permanent.  Don't mind having Joey Vera as the regular bassist (no disrespect to Joe D).

Anyone have news about the album they are supposedly working on?  I know Frank toured with Fates for quite a few of their recent tours, so I wonder if he's sticking around or not.
