Yajyu Ohkoku (what a strange name?! how to remember it :-P ) is a japanese jazz-rock band. They play instrumental jazz-rock with occiasional funky elements. Music is loaded with electric guitar from Hirokuni Korekata and vintage keboards (organ, pianos, synths) from Hiroyuki Namba.
"Yajyu Ohkoku" features guitarist Hirokuni Korekata, bassist Yoshihiro Naruse (Casiopea), keyboardist Hiroyuki Namba (Exhivision) & drummer Keisuke Komori (Kenso).

They play really good, vital jazz-rock, in the same type as "Exhivision" (whih as I've seen was already reposrted to this team) -------------

Could you add any samples there? This Japaneese band is rare one outside of Japan, their CDs cost around 35 euro in Europe. I wonder if someone want to buy them just to check as good they are .What I found about them - one of their most popular work is music for Candy PC-Game. Doesn't sound very attractive , isn't it? BTW, there are hundred of jazz-fusion bands in Japan, it was time, when that genre was extremely popular there, but they all mostly play soft/pop jazz fusion, rarely the progressive one. As you know, only PROGRESSIVE jazz fusion artists are potential candidates for inclusion on PA. Whenever it is really not easy to find Japanese bands releases to listen for evaluation, it will be very nice if you : a) listened and evaluated your every suggestion if they are progressive enough (at least on your opinion) and b) added maximum possible music samples to any suggestion. It will make our job much more easy. Thanks for suggestions and understanding  . |

Thanks a lot Keishiro. I spent some time trying to find any possible sample (audio or video) without a result earlier .From above two songs it's obviously instrumental rock band (ok, with some jazzy elements), but no way jazz fusion at all. Not sure if they are progressive at all  |

It seems previously I made mistake... so sorry... the name should be written like this "Yajyu Ohkoku". I can't see youtube samples posted by DamoXt7942 but I can assure you that it's jazz-rock band. And quite heavy (anyway for me). Anyway I will send to proper links so you'll can evaluate. I'll send you (snobb) on PM.

| Thanks to Keishiro, I listened to full band's album. Really pleasant funky jazz fusion, not progressive enough to be added to PA JRF though. |
