Just One - not 2 or 3 or a dozen .... ONE CHOICE!
no live albums just studio releases please.

I know that's brutal but let's see what we get here as a list...

Your ultimate prog masterpiece!

Mine?

The Human Equation by Ayreon. - its the first that springs into my head.

Ayreon The Human Equation album cover

Why? I never get sick of it and it intro'd me to full blown conceptual masterpieces.

Yeah, naked butts are a sure sign of Prog quality.  Interesting that this thread is still short and we already have two naked guy's butts on it and one with a guy whose ass is on fire. LOL

This is my very young son's favourite music from my collection (asks me to play it a lot):

Its too easy to choose 3 - just pick the one that goes immediately in your head. I could easily pick 3 but i am challenging you.............. take upo the challenge! it doesnt hurt. Your prog bands can take it....

Maybe Fragile?  Not all that cohesive as a whole album, but the mere sum of all its incredible parts is enough to propel it to greatness.

If I had to pick something uncommon/underrated, I'd say Nektar's Journey to the Centre of the Eye.

I absolutely adore the two songs on the second disc of Not as Good as the Book. Those two songs alone would make an excellent album (a full-lenght at that), but as a 'bonus' you get the very good first disc as well.

This was a tough choice between Not as Good as the Book, Spock's Beard's Snow and VDGG's Still Life
