Mr Bungle are a very talented band which succesfully combine all musical genres. But Sleepytime Gorilla Museum goes one step further and makes music never heard before... plus I like them more jejeje

SGM gets my vote, although I think they owe more than a little to Mr Bungle and other Patton projects. Both excellent bands, but SGM seem more focussed somehow - Mr Bungle's albums were rather hit and miss affairs, although when they were good they were about as good as it gets. ------------- 'Like so many of you I've got my doubts about how much to contribute to the already rich among us...' Mr. Bungle.
As much as SGM can tickle my fancy (and they do), it's rare I enjoy their work as much as Bungles. MB also were a pretty eye opening band for me, so perhaps I'm a little biased. ------------- Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect. |

I don't like any SGM. I love Mr. Bungle's debut, but I don't really like their other two albums. I voted for Bungle, even if it's for their first album alone. -------------

I never liked Mr Bungle that much, and while SGM owes a debt to them, I've never thought they were actually very progressive (just restless) and I find the genre shifts more annoying than anything else.

Bungle wrote the book. SGM made a screenplay of it.
