There are still some gaps in my Beefheart knowledge (not picked up Strictly Personal, Clear Spot or Mirror Man yet) so this list is biased towards the albums I'm most familiar with.

Bat Chain Puller
Electricity
Ice Cream For Crow
The Past Sure is Tense
Run Paint Run Run
The Floppy Boot Stomp
Suction Prints
The Dust Blows Forward n' The Dust Blows Back

I like everything I've heard from the good captain but Sugar and Spikes, Ant Man Bee and Nowadays a Woman's Gotta Hit a Man really stand out to me

Big Eyed Beans still sends shivers. It is so out there, it rocks really hard, it is free association and expresses a kind of liberation from reality as we know it.
