I wish I'd heard Night is the New Day last year. It would have made my top 10 albums list of 2009 easily.

Yea, I was really surprised on the quality of it, I didn't expect much. Onward into Battle is one of my favorite songs of last year.

EDIT: First page. Cool

Took me a bloody hour to do all that copy and pasting LOL

Posted By: AtomicCrimsonRush
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 10:43
took me 3 days

worth it? I guess so

but i had to change some reviews as they mentioned thi dplace - i have to do metal reviews more generic i thnk it takes ages to edit

Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 10:47

I was actually surprised how many cool features are on MMA. The only thing is that it's worth very little right now because of not enough ratings.

The fact you can't review 'non metal' albums by metal artists is annoying though.

Posted By: AtomicCrimsonRush
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 10:50
yeah  iwant that to change for sure - its ridiculous that The Sweet have 1 metal album to review and the rest are non, same with a lot of glam metal ans some NWOBHM esp, artists from 70s - 80s.

-------------

Posted By: A Person
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 10:50
Eventually you'll be able to review them, right?

Posted By: AtomicCrimsonRush
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 10:56
I am not syure of that they are locked oiut as the admins dont want a bunch of metal related albbums reviewed on front page. no probvs here with related albums as the reviews rotate so fast but over there its as slow as a wet week

-------------

Posted By: Conor Fynes
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 10:57
The way I see it; metal music fans aren't just gonna want the straight up metal; if they like the artist, they're going to want to hear the other stuff too...

Posted By: AtomicCrimsonRush
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 11:00
i am with u 100% on that

It will develop over the next year and we will no doubt have all albums open to review but its a sore point with me and I am not going to dispute admins decisions but its gotta change to open thye floodgates for pple to enjoy as THE metal resource

-------------

Posted By: A Person
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 11:02
I can see why they'd not let them be reviewed, for example, I could review a bunch of Miles Davis here, and most of it isn't prog. I still say Kind of Blue is essential to all prog fans though. Tongue

Posted By: AtomicCrimsonRush
Date Posted: June 10 2010 at 11:04
YEAH NTHERES STAX oops theres stax here thats not prog but i like that u can review all artists albums as it gives an overall feel for their changing styles over theyrs

How? Aren't they kind of the engine that drives PA?

Another possible reason might be that all amins are allergic to cats, and they don't dare to get near the shreds which are obviously full of them.

Yeah, Mr. and Mrs. Fox. They aren't even the best, the guys who voiced Ash and Kris were the best I think.

The humor is more adult oriented really, it's pretty dry humor.

I've seriously don't care that he finds them boring.  I don't understand it, but to each their own.  I'm not sure if the thread is in response to my make Robert Fripp interesting to me thread or not, but if it is, then I guess that the thread is a personal dig at me.  Maybe? http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=68252&PID=3688085#3688085 - http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=68252&PID=3688085#3688085

I saw the thread that was talking about that.  I don't know if that would be showing anywhere around here or not.  Sounds interesting.

Crap.  Tigers lost 15-3 yesterday so I figured that they would win today, but they are losing 1-0 late in the game and they don't sound like they are too inclined to score any runs today.

Also, the ad on PA for Kiss' The Hottest Show On Earth is driving me absolutely nuts.  It opens up every time that I change pages, so I have to click on the close button. Angry

Use Adblock Plus like me.

I'm not quite sure how AdBlock works.  I switched to Safari which has stopped the ad from popping up, but I don't really like the formatting of it that well.

In Firefox you just install the Adblock Plus plugin, and you have to subscribe to a list, which automatically ads filters for pretty much every ad. Firefox also blocks most popups.

Firefox kept telling me I need to download add-ins and when I attempted to do them nothing seemed to happen.  I guess I will just stick with Internet Explorer and the stupid pop up add.

I'm not the rebel that James is, but I think that it is the re-opening of SR Room XIV that is causing the site to go buggy with all of the errors when you post replies.

My post in the biggest letdowns thread is way too long, but at least it should pretty much offend everyone in the forums at one point or another. Shocked
