I have a hard time picking out a section of this song I like the most, as they all have some qualities that draw me to them and there are several contenders for the best in my opinion.

So I'll have you do it for me!! Evil Smile

'Unreal, unreal!' ghost helmsmen scream
and fall in through the sky,
not breaking through my seagull shrieks...
no breaks until I die:
the spectres scratch on window-slits--
hollowed faces, mindless grins
only intent on destroying what they've lost.

- Peter Hammill

"Where is the God that guides my hand?
How can the hands of others reach me?
When will I find what I grope for?
Who who who is going to teach me?"
"The Clot Thickens" is one of the greatest moments in musical history.  The whole suite is fantastic, though.

This, though I had a hard time deciding whether to vote for S.H.M. or Eyewitness.

Still waiting for my saviour,
storms tear me limb from limb;
my fingers feel like seaweed...
I'm so far out I'm too far in.
I am a lonely man...my solitude is true
my eyes have borne stark witness
and now my knights are numbered too.

The Presence Of The Night/ Kosmos Tours is my favorite part. Especially the thirds that double in speed are very very catchy. It convinced my brother right away.

"The Clot Thickens". There are probably people who regard it as a kind of filler section, but for me it’s pure bliss.

Oceans drifting sideways, I am pulled into the spell
I feel you around me, I know you well
Stars slice horizons, where the lines stand much too stark;
I feel I am drowning - hands stretch in the dark

Camps of panoply and majesty, what is Freedom of Choice?
Where do I stand in the pageantry, whose is my voice?
It doesn't feel so very bad now; I think the end is the start
Begin to feel very glad now:
All things are a part
All things are apart

- Peter Hammil

Land's End (Sineline) / We Go Now.  It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.

Definitely the "Would you cry, if I died" and the part right after it. Crushes me every time.

Its Eyewitness that sounds like Stagnation.

There is also a part that sounds like a section from Tubular Bells
