Why JUKKA GUSTAVSON hasn't been added? Has he been under consideration at all?

Keyboardist-singer-composer of the original WIGWAM line-up has a large discography of his own, some albums fall directly in the jazz/fusion genre while some albums are more eclectic in style, but IMHO he would be a very clear addition into the Jazz & Fusion category. Opinions, please!

C'mon... I can't be the only one who has heard Gustavson.
Sample links I was asked for, sorry I have no time to look for them.

I don't mind if he remains unadded. It was just a suggestion and I thought some (of my countrymen at least) would have stood for it. It seems he hasn't been under evaluation, then?

I don't think I've heard any of his solo albums, but I'm under the impression that they're generally considered prog. I couldn't find any samples either though.

I suggest aAdd him to jazz rock fusion.
Matti, me, or some other Finn can fetch his albums from local library and send samples (if there is motivation and time).

Thanks, Vompatti and Eetu, for support. I hope someone takes care of the samples, I'm not really familiar doing it.
I don't think anyone knowing his music would strongly be AGAINST his addition into Jazz Rock / Fusion section. And yes, he IS usually considered as a progressive artist.

The list of solo albums (from Wikipedia; no notable home pages were found on him):

  • http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Community_Jazz - Community Jazz (2009)

Generally, his proggiest albums are the earliest ones, up to Kadonnut häviämättömiin, after which he's been perhaps closer to jazz than rock.

BTW, how do I get back my avatar? Embarrassed

I've asked the JFR team to have a look.

What about Jukka Gustavson, still unfairly unadded!
Did things go anywhere back in 2010?

Hi Matti. If you check the most recent page of the JR/F Team thread you will see that this artist is still under evaluation by the team. You'll also see the number of ''yes'' votes cast so far. Wink

hey guys, add another fan here, have heard a couple of his albums and they have definitely enough prog elements, remind me of Wigwam and the jazzy side of Focus at places, great candidate for JR/F.

Thanks. Smile  I already added four albums - and reviewed one. Seven other studio albums to be added, I haven't checked if there are live releases (most likely no singles or compilations).

Hopefully the empty duplicate artist page of Gustavson (the lower one) is deleted soon...
