What do you guys think?
Had one album from them my brother gave me a while ago. Recently started to listen to them, and I'm really digging them!
Not prog metal, perhaps technical metal. But some pretty interesting stuff none the less.
Opinions?

Incredibly underrated.  Punishment For Decadence and No More Color were excellent albums.

Plus they did interesting covers of "Purple Haze" and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)".

(Trivia note: they started out as roadies for Celtic Frost.)

Fantastic band, I think I had suggested them for inclusion in the past

really technical metal and I agree with the two albums mentioned. I have not been let down by any of their albums, shame they had to call it a day

Yes, "Punishment" is actually the album I have, and from youtube clips all their stuff seems really good!
And the Purple haze cover is awesome.

The roadie thing makes sense, I dont know many bands from Switzerland.
Oh and thats cool since I kinda like Celtic Frost LOL

Grin (1993) and Mental Vortex (1991) are exceptional, fascinating, mesmerizing, hypnotizing. At this time, they turned to a more subtle approach, not based on the technical prowesses of the beginnings, but on slower tempos and more atmospheres.
Usually, they are credited for having created technical thrash-metal with R.I.P. (1987), just when Voïvod released Killing Technology and years before Atheist or Cynic appeared.

And I'm really, really, REALLY happy and excited by the idea that they would play at Hellfest next year!!! 2011, Clisson, I will be here!

Voivod is another good one Smile
Indeed, I've been listening to Coroner's later work. Brilliant
